Gramado Charter proposes a collaborative agenda to strengthen patient-centered clinical research
The document, conceived by the Instituto Projeto Cura, brings together proposals built collectively during the 7th CURA Meetings Laboratório and points the way toward more integrated, accessible, and efficient clinical research in Brazil.
The meeting that gave rise to the Gramado Charter took place on August 28, 2026, in Gramado (RS), during the 7th edition of the CURA Meetings Laboratório, an initiative of the Instituto Projeto Cura held in parallel with the 20th Gramado Breast Cancer Congress. It brought together different stakeholders in the clinical research ecosystem to discuss a shared challenge: how can we build clinical research that is increasingly centered on patients' needs and realities?
From the discussions and contributions of the different groups came the Gramado Charter for Patient-Centered Research, an initiative conceived by the Instituto Projeto Cura to bring together different perspectives and turn dialogue into a collaborative agenda for strengthening clinical research in Brazil.

In line with Pink October, the Instituto Projeto Cura is broadening the dialogue on the importance of clinical research that is more accessible, integrated, and connected to patients' needs.
We invite patients, healthcare professionals, researchers, institutions, companies, and everyone involved in the clinical research ecosystem to read the document, share their proposals, and help turn this collective agenda into action.
